When we acquire a practice, nothing visible changes for its clients or its team. The practice keeps its name, its brand, its people and the client relationships its founder spent years building. We provide succession, capital and operational support while the practice continues as it always has.

We believe the right succession preserves what makes a business worth having: its people, its reputation and its independence. Each practice we work with operates under its own identity, with its own leadership and its own client relationships. We do not merge practices into a single brand and we do not impose a group operating model on businesses that are already working well.

For founders, this means the business you have built continues as a distinct, recognisable entity. Your team has a settled future. Your clients have continuity. And you have a succession you can plan at your own pace, with a partner who understands your business from the inside.

We take the long view. We are not acquiring practices in order to sell them on.

Goldfinch Assets was founded by two people who have spent their careers working in and around the environmental sector. Between us, we have run ecological and environmental consultancy businesses, led environmental programmes internationally and worked closely with ecologists across a wide range of project types. We understand the pressures of a founder-led consultancy from the inside. We have operated businesses like the ones we acquire, and we bring that experience to every conversation.
